My W177 got the EZS167_D8 (unlike EZS167_D12 in your W118) but i guess the security levels are the same.
I think it should work, I have hear that it is possible to disable firewall in xentry as well and do coding there. But I wasnt able to do it with openport on my CLA. So I used Monacto 9.02 and it worked like a charm.
If you want to unlock EZS167, and this wont work, I have also tried to go to "ComPrimitives" in EZS167>click on the plus>select HexService>on the right side, yo u should see PDU>double click the field next to it and write in "10 03" with space in between 10 and 03, click somewhere else to save this writing>Click Transmit.
That unlocks the firewall as well.

Here you go, connect to your HU6 via CAN or DoIP, start Extendes Session do Coding. After Coding Start Synchronize to Non-volatile Memory Start, Check the result Non-volatile Memory Results now click on Non-volatile Memory Stop. Do the Hard Reset and have Fun Smile
If VC ok, but no function -> the area that should be coded belongs to the protected areas and cannot be put into operation without system activation.
1. Diagnostic services / EZS167 / security access level 3B
2. Variant coding / HU6 / 56 mirrors installed (then do coding)
3. Synchronise to non-volatile memory start (31 01)
4. Hard reset in both the above units
